Defining Each Shell as a Part
In PVManage software, all the three ways are devised and you can choose among them according to your taste. However, as the software designer, I present to you the best way. If you enter each shell as a part, you have chosen the best and the fastest method, provided that you consider each part as a shell when its diameter, thickness, and material are all the same. In other words, if your given shell has the same diameter, thickness, and material – regardless of its length- present it as a part in the software. The software will automatically provide you with its constituent parts!
Manage Nozzle Data & Attachments
Nozzle page contains the most data value in PVManage software. We also have the most number of subsidiary pages on this page. The simplicity of the form is maintained in order to avoid the large amount of complexity and density in the subsidiary forms. However, inserting the subsidiary data is considered through certain measures, as well. Intelligent manner of controlling inter-related data is one of the most important factors taken into account in designing this page. It is applied in 6 types below:

NestingProfiles & Plates
We require one-dimensional Nesting when the authenticity of the pieces limits to their material and cross section. This situation resembles the time when we want to estimate the materials for a metal construct project or a Piping one. In this case, equal pieces in both size (with regard to cross section) and material can be placed by one another.
We require two-dimensional Nesting when the authenticity of the pieces includes their material and thickness. The pieces’ direction gains significance in two-dimensional Nesting, as well, and we cannot place each piece along with the main plate’s length or width. Two-dimensional Nesting is applicable to sewing industries, printing, glass industries, cabinet industries, metal industries, and any other activity which requires any form of superficial layout. Since any sort of inaccurate or non-optimized combination can cause material waste in two dimensions, the importance of achieving the best layout in Nesting increases.
Manage Bodt Flange
By Body Flange, we mean any flange which is attached directly to the equipment regardless of its service and function and without any need to nozzles. If you enter the nozzle data on the Nozzle Page, the software will automatically calculate its nozzle and consider it in material estimation. On the Nozzle Page, thus, concepts such as Nozzle Location and Nozzle Projection gain significance.
However, in case you have a flange which is set directly on your equipment, enter its data on this page.

Any Kinds of Standard Fittings
There is no specific point about inserting Fitting data. The only point to be mentioned is that you will have two options when completing Material Index data, since the material of Fittings which are placed inside the vessel might differ from that of those placed outside of the vessel. Therefore, if Fitting Location is adjusted on Internal, Material field will be automatically completed with the material of the Internal Fitting. In contrast, the Material field will be automatically completed with the material of the External Fitting if the Fitting Location field is adjusted on External.
Entering Stiffener Data
If the reinforcing plate is in contact with the equipment through width, you have to define it as Shell Type. In that case, the defined plate will be defined in the software as a piece of Shell Type, and when preparing cutting plan, the plate will be considered as a piece of Shell with a width equal to the ring’s width (which you have entered in the Ring Width field); its internal diameter equal to the equipment’s external diameter, and its external diameter equal to the internal diameter + two times the thickness of the ring (which you have entered in the Ring Th’k field). The importance of this issue lies in the fact that when constructing the Shell Type piece, the placement of the Shell’s diameter on the plates longitudinal is of utmost significance.

Integrated and Accurated Reports
Prior to introducing the reports, it is significant to bring into light some key issues:
1. Variety, Accuracy, Rapidity, and Up-to-date quality of reports that PVManage software presents form one of the strong Points of it.
2. All reports in PVManage software include title, date, time, and the producer’s name. Therefore, all the reports are documentary and there is no need for them to be documented.
3. None of the reports are saved in PVManage software. Thus (and according to items mentioned in part 1), all reports are produced by the user at the time of request. Applying edition on reports, hence, is an unnecessary topic. The validity of each report is based on the latest data entered in the software by the request time.
4. If you require archiving and maintaining the reports’ previous versions, you have to consider an area on your computer to save and archive them as wanted.
5. Each movement within the software is both track able and reportable. The possibility of reporting is devised on all pages.
6. Reports will be generated as soon as possible and this process does not consume your time. Therefore, click on the related icon whenever you need a report!
7. Item Reports Menu is used to extract data related to an item (and in cases a group of items). To produce each report, except for Paint, Weld, and Compare Report, you are required to select the respective item from the Drop Down List first and then click on the desired report’s icon.
Fast & Agile
There are other side tools required to work with PVManage software, which are gathered on Tools page. Results of using these tools are at times transferable to the software’s data bank and at others to the respective fields, which will be explained where appropriate.
Ladder & Platform tools serve as the most important tools on this page. Using these tools, you can estimate the required materials for Ladder & Platform by entering the least data and, if willing, transfer them to the software’s data bank. Keep in mind that you are equipped with separate tools for Ladder & Platform on Nesting page, and you will be able to prepare cutting plans for these materials independently. Although required materials for Ladder & Platform are generally classified in Profile group, they are categorized autonomously on Nesting page, due to the fact that constructing such accessories are managed and pursued independently from pressured equipment.

Material & Fabrication
Fast, Economical and Unique Estimation
One of the most fascinating and the most practical sets of reports provided by “PVManage” are the reports on estimating the fabrication costs and calculating the equipment’s final price(s).
If you have incorporated (into the software) the dimensional data of the equipment as well as the technical features of all the component parts, you can extract the thematical (subjective) reports of fabrication activities from the software. In addition, by defining the unit prices for each activity, you can easily access the final price of each activity and as a result, the fabrication price of each equipment and project.

One of the most exciting achievements of PVManage software is DXF providing!
Any data entered into the software and have capability to provide a sketch, will be change into an ACAD format drawing with the minimum time by the software.
It’s necessary to advise that based on the PVManage nature which reserve information of any subject part by part (and mainly separated each other), providing of fabrication drawings will be the same too. Look at the following example for more explanation:
Suppose that you entered related information for a Shell or an Head for a horizontal vessel separately. At the time of entering data, no data related to the location of these subjects asked you. For example, it’s not important for the software to identify the Head is located on the left side or right side of the vessel (because of it’s not related to the PVManage nature). So, it doesn’t matter if the software can provide a drawing that displays this head exactly where the user wants it. Or there is a same reason about the parts of a Shell.
But providing of the Head as a separated piece drawing and show it’s dimensions, and other related information is logic and possible.
Thus the software provides related piece drawing from each records and save in a predefined path. These part drawings will be as the detachable parts and user can assemble them together as an integrated drawing.
